I'm Writing a Book!

Over the years I've had more book ideas than I can count—and not a single one has come to fruition. One book proposal ended up in the middle of a business dispute. Another got back-burnered because I was busy with my job. Several other ideas...well, weren't very good. A publisher offered me a book contract a few years ago after seeing a story I wrote about Old Florida for the Wall Street Journal, but the timing (and the dollars) didn't work.  

Now I'm writing a book, and it wasn't my idea—but I'm beyond thrilled. The project is for Dovetail Press, a new publishing house that creates gorgeous and thoughtful books. Mine is about making travel more meaningful and memorable. The book is coming out this fall, so I'd better get back to writing...
