Rocking the Boat is an amazing youth development and environmental organization in the South Bronx. We teach inner-city kids how to build wooden boats from scratch, which are then used for community rowing programs and for environmental education, research and restoration projects. I’m on the board of directors.

Recessionwire is the  leading website about the Great Recession, packed with news, advice and perspective for people affected by the downturn. I co-founded it in late 2008.

DishList is a wedding registry for restaurants that I started in 2010 and that my husband is now launching.

L’Ete Francais chronicles the six weeks we spent in France in 2010.
